How to optimize the spatial layout of steel structure plant?

Optimization of space layout of Steel Structure factory building is crucial for improving production efficiency, reducing cost and enhancing space utilization, which can be started from the following aspects:

Functional area division

Clear production process: According to the type of products and process produced in the plant, sort out the clear production process, according to the order of raw materials into the factory, processing, assembly, inspection to the finished product factory, reasonably arrange the location of each production link, so that the shortest material transportation route, reduce cross-transportation and roundabout transportation. For example, the steel structure plant of machining, cutting equipment can be close to the raw material storage area, welding and assembly area adjacent to the cutting area, to facilitate the flow of workpieces.

The principle of separation of motion and static: the production area, office area and living area are obviously separated. The production area, as a “moving area”, will generate noise, vibration, etc., and should be set far away from the office and living areas; the office area needs a quiet environment, and can be arranged on the side of the plant or set up a separate building, connected to the production area through the connecting corridors; the living area, such as canteen, dormitory, etc., can be set up according to the overall planning of the plant, relatively independent and convenient to the Living areas such as canteens and dormitories can be set up in relatively independent and convenient locations for employees' life according to the overall planning of the plant.

Height utilization

Setting up mezzanine: For steel structure plant with large space height, mezzanine can be set up in appropriate position. The mezzanine can be used for office, storage or as auxiliary production area. For example, electronic plant can be set up in the mezzanine quality testing room and small warehouse, storage of precision instruments and commonly used parts, not only does not take up the ground production space, but also to facilitate access to the goods.

Adoption of high-level shelves: in the storage area, the use of steel structure plant height advantage, the installation of high-level shelves. High-level shelves can greatly improve the utilization rate of storage space and realize three-dimensional storage of goods. Combined with the use of forklifts, stacker cranes and other storage equipment, it can efficiently carry out the operation of goods in and out of the warehouse.

Aisle design

Optimize the width of the channel: According to the type and size of the transportation means in the plant, the width of the channel is reasonably determined. It is necessary to ensure that transportation vehicles and equipment can pass through smoothly, but not to waste too much space. For example, for the use of forklift transportation area, the channel width should generally be no less than 3 meters; if large trucks pass through the channel, according to the size of trucks need to be appropriately widened.

Setting up a circular channel: If conditions permit, design a circular channel. The circular channel can make the logistics smoother, avoid the transportation process of blocking and folding back, improve the efficiency of transportation. At the same time, the ring-shaped channel is also conducive to fire safety, in the event of an emergency, personnel and vehicles can be evacuated more conveniently.

Lighting and Ventilation Design

Increase lighting area: Reasonably set up skylights, side windows and other lighting facilities to increase the natural lighting area. For example, the use of sawtooth-shaped roofs with skylights can make the light enter the interior of the plant evenly and reduce the energy consumption of lighting. It can also use Color Steel Plate or sunshine plate with good light transmittance as wall and roof materials to further improve the lighting effect.

Optimize the layout of the ventilation system: design a reasonable ventilation system according to the spatial structure of the plant and the characteristics of the production process. For areas that generate heat and harmful gases, such as welding workshops and heat treatment workshops, local exhaust devices can be set up to discharge pollutants in time; at the same time, natural ventilators or mechanical ventilation equipment can be set up on the top of the plant to promote air convection, keep the air in the plant fresh and improve the working environment.
