Thin-walled box section Steel Structure is a kind of closed box section member with lightweight design, welded or cold-formed by thin steel plate (thickness usually ≤6mm), featuring light weight, high strength, good economy and convenient construction. The structure is suitable for weight-sensitive projects that require rapid installation and moderate load requirements, such as light plants, assembly buildings, temporary facilities, curtain wall support, equipment frames, etc. It is an optimized and upgraded solution for the traditional thick-walled box section steel structure.

Lightweight design

Adopting 1.5~6mm thin-walled steel plate, the deadweight of the structure is more than 40% lower than that of thick-walled box section steel, which reduces transportation and lifting costs.

Flexible cross-section size (common 100×100mm~600×600mm) to meet different span and load requirements.

High strength and stability at the same time

High-strength steel materials such as Q235B/Q355B are selected to improve bending and torsion resistance by optimizing the cross-section shape (e.g. adding internal stiffening ribs or folded edges).

Cold bending molding process enhances the yield strength of the material, and the local stability is better than that of ordinary welded boxes.

Quick installation and modularization

Standardized prefabricated components, support for bolted or plugged assembly, without large-scale welding equipment on site, construction efficiency increased by 50%.
