Node Ductility Design

Dog bone weakening (RBS): Cutting an arc-shaped notch at the end of the chord to guide the plastic hinge to move outward;

Strengthening with stiffeners: Horizontal stiffeners are installed in the node area to prevent local buckling.

Integration of energy consuming devices

Metal damper: Shear type steel plate damper, yield force 500-5000kN, displacement ± 50mm;

Friction pendulum support: friction coefficient 0.03-0.05, horizontal displacement capacity ± 300mm.
